Frequently asked questions

IS GLISSANT FOR ME?

Did you know that around 17% of women aged 18-50 years have pain with sexual activity because of vaginal dryness and this number goes up to 50% in menopausal women. If your intimacy and sexual experiences aren't as good as you would like them to be because of vaginal dryness and/or pain due to dryness, then GLISSANT lubricants are for you. GLISSANT is also for you if you just want to make sex better!

HOW DO I USE GLISSANT LUBRICANTS?

Spray a liberal amount in your hand (3-5 sprays) and apply it to you and your partner's intimate areas or anywhere you want increased lubrication. More lubricant may be needed if you have severe dryness, and you should reapply as often as needed. We encourage you to try GLISSANT lubricants alone or with a partner...

HOW DO I KNOW WHICH GLISSANT LUBRICANT TO CHOOSE?

The FDA-cleared Sea Salt & Caramel Intimate Lubricant is for you if: you prefer a water-based lubricant, want a lubricant with consistency closest to natural lubricantion, have severe nut allergies, and/or use condoms or silicone toys. Intimate Huile d'Amour is for you if: you want the entourage effect of CBD & CBG which is effective for pain, condoms and toys are not an issue, All ingredients in GLISSANT lubricants are natural, non-toxic, and safe for consumption...and can be used together.

WHAT TYPES OF CONDOMS AND SEX TOYS CAN I USE GLISSANT WITH?

Our FDA-cleared water based formula is safe with natural rubber latex, polyurethane and polyisoprene condoms. In general oil-based lubricants, including our CBD lubricant, are not compatible with latex condoms. in general, water-based lubricants are compatible with silicone toys, but our lubricants have not been specifically tested with intimate objects.

WHY ISN'T THE CBD & CBG LUBRICANT FDA-CLEARED?

To date the FDA has only approved Epidiolex (cannabidiol) for seizures and Marinol (dronabiniol), Cesamet (nabilone), and Syndros (dronabinol) mainly for nausea with chemotherapy. These drugs are only available with a prescription. There is no FDA approved marketing application for cannabis for any condition. More information is available on the FDA website: https://www.fda.gov/news-events/public-health-focus/fda-and-cannabis-research-and-drug-approval-process are compatible with silicone toys, but our lubricants have not been specifically tested with intimate objects.

WHAT IS CBG?

CBG (cannabigerol) is referred to as the “mother” of all cannabinoids because it's the precursor of all other cannabinoids. Because of this, CBG has significant potential health benefits. Like CBD, CBG has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties without psychoactive effects. When used together, CBD and CBG benefits are enhanced...the "entourage effect". We recognized the promise of CBG early on which is why we combined it in our Huile d'Amour intimate lubricant.

WHO SHOULDN'T USE GLISSANT?

You should not use GLISSANT lubricants if you have allergies to any of their ingredients or if you have an infection, lesions, or open skin of the genital area. If a reaction occurs, immediately discontinue use and contact your doctor.

WHAT IF I USE GLISSANT AND STILL HAVE PAINFUL SEX?

You may have a condition other than just vaginal dryness causing pain, so you should consider consulting with a doctor.

CAN GLISSANT PREVENT SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED INFECTIONS?

No lubricant can prevent sexually transmitted infections or pregnancy, but lubrication can help prevent tearing of the vagina that predisposes to infection.
